"The Chase" pt.2

Sequel to the previous. PLEASE tell me what you think.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

Ok, so now you might be wondering how I met this guy, or by what freakish circumstances I could have found a fine little southerner when we all know that I live in the great state of fruits and nuts that is California.

Well, since my little sister and I have been living with my dad, my grandmother has been shelling out cash so we can be shipped off to Texas so we can “visit” with her (really we just stay in the house while she gripes at us for no more reason than being our mother’s children, but whatever). Now these visits do allow us to spend some time hanging out with our old friends from back in the day.

These trips usually happen anytime between mid July and early August depending on plane tickets, but this year was a little different. I received an e-mail early in the year from one of my friends that I have known since kindergarten asking us if we could try to make it out a little early this year because, get this, he was leaving FOR THE FREAKING ARMY! I mean, good god. Great warning there Erik. Geeze. Any who, we decided to ask grandma about it and the trip was arranged for the 17th of June to the 8th of July. Cool beans right?

Well, we get to Texas, spend a few days with grandma, and head down to stay with some of our old friends for a week. While we were waiting for them, my little sister hit up Erik, because “OMG Andrea I like completely love him and really want to see him before he goes. Besides we’re bored, it’s hot, and I want a slushy (no really it was cute, I just like to exaggerate). Needless to say, Erik shows up in about two whole minutes causing both my sister and I to bum rush the front door in a desperate leap towards freedom. We get to the door, fling it open, and there stands not only Erik, but Chase right behind him. Ruth and I both stop mid stride to bask in the glory that is a fine Texas boy standing on the porch during a hot summer day. Really though, sexy.

"The Chase" pt.1

So this is the first part of our little story. I don't know, its really just a way of me letting out how I'm feeling right now and what's going through my head.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

I don’t know if you would call what I feel for him love, but I am definitely in something for the boy I’ve fallen for this summer. But sadly, this isn’t going to be one of those “happily ever after”, “chick flick”, “teen romance” kind of stories. At least not that I know of.

You see there are multiple problems with the way things are working out between this guy and I. We have different views, goals, and opinions on things, we each have bad habits the other one can’t stand, and there are thousands of miles and at least 3 angry parents separating and kind of happy ending that might come out of this summer fling. Not to mention that he’s a smidge shorter than me. Mind you, this is not a Romeo and Juliet thing, its just sucky circumstances and disapproving parents.

Well, now that I’ve ranted to you enough about the “feel” of our little adventure, I might as well get to introducing you to Chase Caldwell. I know the name Chase Caldwell might illicit certain images in the minds of readers, but let me tell you, the only thing that he fits about his name is the dashing good looks and his way with “the ladies”. You see my Chase Caldwell is a down to earth southern boy with a Mohawk who is big brother to no less than 7 brothers and sisters. He’s tan and sinewy (google that shit) with dirty-blonde hair and green eyes that could hypnotize the panties off your grandmother. Not only is he good looking, but he loves animals, and kids (with that many siblings you would have to be). Chase also plays guitar and piano, skates, and loves to have his head scratched. I know that this all sounds well and good but trust me, he’s not perfect. Along with all of his amazing facts and hobbies, Chase smokes, failed his senior year of High Scholl, and is a flirtatious idiot when he’s even the slightest bit tipsy. But hey, nobody’s perfect right?
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

So, what do you think? Anybody?

Just an idea. (quickpost)

So, I've been in Texas these last three weeks visiting some family and that kind of thing. While I was here some interesting things happened that I would like to share. Now, I'm thinking about doing it in chapters, one every week or two, so that's what's going to be happening for awhile.

I also have some pictures to share.

I think each of the "story posts" will be called "The Chase" and then the number of the installment, just for organization.

So there it is. I hope you guys will like it.

An Inroduction

"Hi, I'd like to order a pizza." I seems to be the way my day ends more and more often. Not because I'm a poor college student or a bachelor that can't take care of himself, but because my dad. You see, my mom and dad split up when I was two. It's not like they didn't love each other or anything, they were just better at loving each other from half a country away. So they seperated, and my mom packed up me and my little sister (I'll introdue you to her later) and moved us from California to the great state of Texas. There we lived for about ten years until my mom passed away in Christmas of 2001. With that, we ended up back in California living with my bachelor dad in a place where we knew practically no one (ad don't get me wrong, I love my dad. But take out really gets bring after awhile).

But, here I am now a 17 year old girl about to graduate from high school with dreams of becoming a psychologist/teacher. That ad there are about ot be some big changes in my life, but that's for another blog.

Until then,
DreaG.
